What's Inside a Lowe's Return Pallet?

Every Lowe's return pallet is different. Ours are mixed loads of tools, outdoor power equipment, home improvement items and household goods.

Here's what we saw on a recent truckload of about 25 pallets and Gaylords at our Toms River, NJ warehouse.

What we found

• Air compressors: Kobalt and Craftsman
• Outdoor power: EGO snow blowers, trimmers and pressure washers, plus Greenworks and Craftsman
• Nailers and power tools: Metabo HPT nailers, a Kobalt miter saw and a Toro chainsaw
• Vacuums: DeWalt and Shop-Vac wet/dry vacs and a Dyson Ball Animal 3
• Storage: Craftsman tool cabinets, Gladiator GearWall and Suncast deck boxes
• Home items: Harbor Breeze ceiling fans, Kichler lighting, Elkay sinks, faucets and patio chairs

Your pallet won't have the same mix. That's the nature of return loads.

Pallet or Gaylord?

A pallet is usually stacked and shrink-wrapped, so you can see many of the bigger boxes from the outside. A Gaylord is a large box filled with mixed merchandise. You'll often see only the top layer, and there can be a lot more underneath.

What condition are the items in?

These are returns, so condition varies. Some items may be new in the box, while others may be used, damaged or missing parts. Everything is sold as is.

Are Lowe's pallets manifested?

Ours aren't. There's no official manifest, so we photograph each pallet and list what we can see. If you want an item list up front, take a look at our manifested Home Depot pallets.
